It is common Christian jargon to say that a person's life reflects Jesus, but it really is an awesome thing to see. It's something that I find altogether beautiful and altogether compelling, and something that I really hope to achieve myself one day. It is literally as if I look at these people and I see those values that Jesus taught and it gives me a new excitement for those teachings, and just how great it looks to live a life like His.
Of course, these people aren't perfect, and though I'm unfortunately not close enough to either to have seen all those flaws, I know they have them. However, those flaws don't necessarily matter, because you see that they are doing their best everyday to just love Jesus and love the people around them. These are the people I look at and think, "I wanna be like that when I grow up."
These two aren't the only people, though my response to others is more of a gratitude of what they can offer in terms of spiritual advice, and a high regard for the wisdom they provide: my mother, my big sister and our CU staff worker are just some examples. These are more people whose lives truly do reflect their beliefs, and who I respect endlessly because of that.
I hope this blog doesn't come across as just a weird expression of fangirling love, because it's not. What it is, is an expression of how glory can be given to God through people's demeanour. I really hope that one day people will look at me and think the same, but until then, I'll keep trying, and thank the Lord for the little people who are that little bit of Him on Earth.
