In the year since I met them, it hasn't always been easy to spend time with them. I'm a (horribly) busy person, and with so many different commitments, it hasn't always worked. However, when it has, I always feel so grateful and happy after spending time with them. It's one of those great friendships where we don't need to see each other all the time, we can just come back together and it's as if we never left.
I have multiple friendship groups in my life, and I know that I am much more fortunate than some because of that, and I hope my friends don't think I take it for granted- because I don't. I'm so so happy to be part of every single one of those groups, and as I do my best to spread my time between them, I hope they all know how much I value their friendship, love and insight.
I truly believe that the friends I have in my life are there because they were meant to be, and I think that's a really special thing, and an important one to remember. What are the chances that some people I met at pres one fateful Saturday in September would be the people I intend on knowing for the rest of my life?
Life is such a strange and beautiful thing, and I thank God every day for it.
So to Alyssa, Jake, Brad, and even Ben ;)- I'm so glad I know you. Please don't go anywhere, I know it doesn't always seem like it, but you guys are stuck with me for the long haul.
